The Facebook Pixel

If you've ever looked into Facebook marketing, or talked to someone in this field, you may have heard the term "Facebook Pixel". But what the heck does that even mean?


The Facebook Pixel is a piece of code that you put into the back end of your website. This helps your website communicate with Facebook. This means that you can see your site analytics in the Business Manager dashboard. It looks a little like this:


So besides just knowing how many site visitors you're having, what can you do with this information? Retargeting! As you're moving your customers through your marketing funnel, you're hitting them up over and over again to continue building awareness and gaining their trust.
